I wonder when/if they might start doing Fasttrack shipments on the 3300...

When are we likely to see reviews on these laptops? I am assuming no one has received one yet.

I hope it won't take too long before those 13" vostro's will be available here in Belgium, I really need to get myself a new lappy soon!

edit: And lets hope they will have decent graphic options, so I can play MW2 during class ^^

edit2: I just took a look at the pics and the silver vostro's look very nice, reminds me a bit of their AW models rofl :p
Unless these new models will have heat issues or be badly constructed, they got themselves a customer. Eventhough I don't have a company I bet i'll find a way to get my hands on one of these bussines notebooks.

Yeah, heat, fan noise and build quality are my biggest issues. I am currently considering the Dell Vostro 3400, Asus PL30JT, and Asus PL80JT. The first one to address these issues will probably get themselves a new customer. The Dell Vostro 3300 isn't in the running because of it's lack of digital output, either HDMI or DisplayPort.

You don't need to have a company to buy them.
When ordering you can state you're obliged to pay taxes (=btw in Belgium).
So only disavantage is that you pay the taxes... but you definitely don't need to have a company to buy them ;)

Not for a while given they were only unveiled a few days ago.

I just saw that the 15 inch vostro's are already available in Belgium, if you take one with the nvidia 310m gt its gonna cost 990€ tax included.
Lets hope the 13 inch vostro will have the same gpu and will cost about the same. The design is very apealing to me, and the power is also sufficient for my studyneeds.

Unless asus will release their 13 inch ul30-jt soon, i'm definitly going to buy myself that vostro. I was considering the dell sxps13 before but since it had heat issues I decided to pass. Not even if sony will bring out a seperate gpu for its S series, will I change my mind, since it will cost more (the one with corei3 and no gpu costs 1000€, the one with a seperate gpu will most likely cost 1300€ like the previous SR series). I was also considering a 13 inch MBP, their long battery life is exactly what I need, but I need windows so apple is out of the question aswell.

Unless the release of the 13inch vostro (in Belgium) will be delayed, and other brands will release a similiar product for the same or smaller price before dell does, I think I found myself a nice succesor for my Acer 5920G.
Unless dell will fail to provide decent battery life on the vostro's with a seperate gpu...Fingers crossed ^^

edit: I just found the new 13 inch vostro's on the belgian dell site, and they do have the option for the nvidia 310m gt ^^ (price = 1081€ taxes included)
Only downsides I've found so far are:
    - a 4 cell battery (I have no idea how long it will hold out, but I expect one needs 6 cells atleast for a long battery life).
    - Atm they only have qwerty keyboards, while we use Azerty in Belgium (no idea why we use azerty, they use qwerty in the netherlands while its the exact same language. Perhaps its a long time after effect of Napoleons seisure of our region :(

I totally agree. But I'm opting for the 17" (Vostro 3700, and less than 3 kg!).
I asked customer support about the keyboard and they said they said they could chose the azerty option. They agreed there's probably a mistake on the website (as usual when Dell launches new products).

Yep if you call them you will probably have the option to chose azerty and will get a better deal than using the website.

I hope Engadget gets their reviews up asap! I am also waiting for reviews on the new HP Probooks.
