I ordered two 1500's on 7/26. Ship date was supposed to be 8/15 on both.
Received the first on 8/2 (shipped 7/29), received the second today 8/2 (shipped on 8/1, but from a closer facility)

The projected ship date didn't change until they actually shipped it.

 

seems like dell took down this link from the main page, good find

 

Did either have truelife ? I know that's supposed to add 2 days according to dell's site because of backorder. I didn't notice that until after I order but if it really does ship 2 days after the other guy's did I will be happy. But I wonder if that will actually delay it to the 8/15 ship date...

I ordered the back up discs (OS, Driver, App's) yesterday morning and got them this morning from Dell. Also got Home Premium instead of Home Basic, so I saved $30 .

 

I ordered a Vostro 1400 on July 28th... Expected Ship date is Aug 10th...

I have a question.. what is the order of the stages?
I thought it goes something like this:

Order Processing
In Production
Shipped

Just three stages... I am currently in In Production but why are there people who have 'boxing' or 'building' stages?

I'm curious, those of you in Europe, are your Vostros also Malaysian or are they from the Irish factory?

 

I have my Vostro 1400 now, and I'm fairly surprised that the color resolution is far better than my Acer's. And, no it is NOT grainy or has any light leaks or anything. I will test the audio quality later, but so far it's been quite good to me.

 

I can't find that on my order? where do I look for it?
