I'd be interested in seeing the comparison between WXGA and WXGA+! I've ordered a 1500 with WXGA+, but since I've not used a screen res that high (my desktop monitors max res is 1280x1024) so I'd like to see how much of a difference it really makes.

I have to say that I love the clarity of my TrueLife Screen. How do I tell which manufacture made mine?

I finally got my Vostro 1500. It was ordered on 7/31 and it came today 8/10. Not bad! Specs - 1.6ghz core 2 duo, 8400m gs, 160gb 5400 rpm hd, wxga true life screen, 9 cell battery, and 2gb ram upgraded myself. I am working on a review and will post it some time if anybody is interested. So far though I'm impressed but disappointed at the same time. I will explain more in my review.

I have a 1500 and my bro the 1700 an both are Synaptics if that helps.

also does any one have issues with the heaphone interference; heaphones with lower impeadence work but only lower the interference by a little.
Should just get an external sound card??

im getting home premium delievered on the 13th, i convinced them to give it to me for free with next day shipping

My 1400 with the 1390 wireless card takes a long time, about 20-30 seconds, for the wireless connection to work again after coming out of sleep. Does anyone else have this issue? It's annoying because I can't simply open it up to quickly check something online, as I can with the iBook on the same network.
