My vostro has already been dispatched (thats like two weeks before it was supposed to be).

Any way the Ispiron 1520 (the more expensive elder brother (that does not do business work) of vostro) has the option of getting a blue ray disc drive. Later on as they are the same laptop cud i upgrade to this drive.
ps don't say the screen isn't hd cause its the same as the inspiron. (a HD film just has more pixels and is hence better quality and bigger in size hence the large capacity blue ray discs. so any really high resolution laptop screen is "HD".

    Which keyboard should i get?
-You can get a logitech MX5000 which has bluetooth technology that is vista compatable. Cud i use the integrated bluetooth in my soon to be delivered laptop or wud i have to use the dongle.
-You can get a logitech MX3200 which is more designed for vista (flip3d & search buttons etc.)
    -MX5000 is about £80 and MX3200 is about £50
-Obviously MX5000 has loads more features than the MX3200
If the integrated bluetooth would not work then im swaying more to the MX3200. But is it worth £30 to get some extra features even if the bluetooth dongle isn't needed.
    Thanks

    James

mine was shipped today and will be here on thursday 23rd having been given an EDD of 06/09/07! whoop!

jwheeler you paid way too much for yours! I got mine for 600 with similar specs!

i'm interested in finding out about what the best (in terms of price and quality) keyboard and mouse combo is for this laptop, that takes advantage of bluetooth and doesnt require any kind of dongle.

    any ideas people?

When did you order yours & what are your specs & HOW!?
edit: seen your thread n i can see why the best price for my exact specs were this.
    - +110 for processor
    - i got 1 yr warrenty so -120
    - you had wxga so +90
    - i got 9cell so +10
    - plus i got windows vista ultimate (don't know how much the difference is)
so thats an over all of 90 so thats £40 that i lost cause mine wasn't a free upgrade to 2gb of ram
im nt bout that cause i was willing to pay the prices they set before i ordered which wud've meant a lot more saving up (£930 excl VAT & shipping)
    edit over

    Cheers

ps that MX5000 has cr*p reviews probs cause its bluetooth im getting mx3200 but seems as though i have a good dock it wont be a problem (kensington usb dock with vga for £30 (supposedly opened box))

Can you recommned any good mice and a good keyboard that both use bluetooth and don't require any imputs?

    Cheers.

Hey mellortron, I found a good keyboard n mouse (now it just depends on if i can afford it)
    Logitech DiNovo Media Desktop (bluetooth)
(I am asuming you are English because you paid in GBP.)

Only the hub needs a socket (probs usb but cud be mains) and isn't needed anyway (recharge batteries in a normal charger or use non-rechargeable batteries.
