Hey I'm new here and I just want to say hello to everyone here !

I just ordered a vostro 1700 and it scheduled for shipment on the 6th sept (we are 25 august now)

this is what I got:

Hmmm...interesting...I ordered a Vostro 1500 on the 25th, but there's no ship date yet. Well, unless you count "01/01/0001" a valid date!

I'm on the phone now to see if I can get an idea. I know it will probably automatically update in no time, but inquiring minds want to know!

I ordered mine on the 25th. Boxed and SHIPPED today. I am so excited. The reason the ESD is odd like that(mine was too) was because it was ordered over the weekend. They won't be able to give you an updated date. What is the states on the automated line of your shipment, Tytto?

omg your laptop is already shipped and u ordered it on the 25 this is sad i ordered mine on the 22nd and i just called and its still on the building status -___-

 

I ordered mine under the special they offered. The only thing I can think of is that they had a large supply of the 1500s with that combination and needed to get rid of some.

 

Nothing...when I called, it stated the only information available is that it's in the building stage.

I called Dell to speak to someone (just to see what they would say, no big deal), and they stated that it was a glitch. They couldn't figure it out and they said they'd call me by tomorrow with an update. They gave me free next day shipping for my time...

Man, it would be nice to have it this week! But, I'm pretty sure I won't be so lucky.

I called today and spoke to a reps and he said to me that My 1700 is on the building step but on Dell web site in the order status the arrow is again on the pre processing step ... He said that I just have to wait until they makes an update on the web site...
