How bad is the glare from the screen? Are the reflections very annoying?

The screen is very bright, so the reflections are not annoying. But this is very subjective! For me I like the clearer view of the E2E compared to a matte screen!

    Hi there,

Can someone with the following m6400 specs please run cinebench and report back (a big ask I know but it would be most helpful to me if you could).

    3.06Ghz
    3700 gfx card.

    Regards,
    Simon

These options exist in the m6400 configuration page

All Hard Drives, Non-RAID, 1 or 2 drive total configuration [Included in Price]
All Hard Drives, RAID 0, 2 drive total configuration add $0
All Hard Drives, RAID 1, 2 drive total configuration add $0

    What exactly do they mean?
Do they concern the configuration of the drives or do they mean that different harware will be installed?

    P.S.
If I do a clean install does it really matter what choice I make at this point?

The option is just for preinstallion and will not change the hardware they built in. So if you choose only 1 HDD, you can only made the choice of 1 Disk without RAID ;) With 2 HDDs you can chose between Raid 0, Raid 1 and no Raid at all!

When you do a clean install, you can reset the raid setup as you wish! Therefor it has no effect, which option you choose! :D

Quick question for E2E owners -

What is the small hole slightly to the left of the webcam? I'm assuming it is the light sensor. If so, what colour is yours? I ask as Dell shipped me a new machine for some reason and the new one has a completely WHITE sensor (if that is what it is) whereas my original machine has something black there.

I really don't know but could it be the microphone? I'm using a borrowed Toshiba P305 that has a webcam built in and a much smaller hole about 1/2 inch to the left of the lens which I'm sure is a microphone, so it's a pretty decent guess that's what it is. See if the mic works (use the Skype test call or something) and if it does put your finger over the hole and if it doesn't work then it's a microphone all right.

I just ordered mine but have been following this forum for a few weeks and my understanding is that the non edge to edge LED is a matte finish. If you need 100% certainty I'd wait for a more positive answer though.
