They are a bit on the spendy side, but I purchased a http://www.sfbags.com for my MacBook Pro and will be getting it again for this laptop. The quality is outstanding. Heck the invoice slip had a hand written thank you on it, and they actually followed up 2 weeks later to see if I was happy with the purchase. Seriously its one of the best experiences I've had with a company.

Dell's hardware on the outlet page is as good as anything else. However since it is a laptop ALWAYS get the extended warranty. Always. Did I say always yet?

As someone who Dell has basically replaced two notebooks that were victims of alternately, stupidity and an 'act of god', complete care has saved me thousands of dollars I otherwise would have lost. It's cheap for what it can save you.
And does anyone have any idea why the keypad on the 6400 is left of center of the non number pad part of the keyboard? I didn't notice till someone else mentioned it but now looking at the pictures I have to scratch my head, wondering "what dingbat came up with that idea?" Look at it, the pad is a good 3/4 inches off center to the already space challenged left palm rest. There's lots I don't know about computers and computer design but I'm no idiot either and it seems like an idea so lame I can make no logical sense of it no matter how hard I try. Why is it off center from the non number pad part of the keyboard? I think the perfect design would be an abreviated keyboard and a matching external number pad. Even the few times I actually need and use one I prefer a seperate external one anyway. Feels more natural and the keypad is in the center where it belongs. This looks like you might get eyestrain from always having to glance off to the right from your typing position to see the screen.
