I'm thinking of upgrading my very old photoshop as it won't load on the Vista64 on my new m6400.

As Photoshop CS4 say's it can't be loaded on a 'flash' drive, does this mean I won't be able to install on the SSD of my impressive new Dell?

Anyone successfully loaded psCS4 on an SSD?

    Thanks

My coworker did the other day just fine, he has basically no space on that drive left, though he mainly stores everything on a 500gb drive.

In case anyone is wondering, Windows 7 runs fine on the M6400. It found all the devices without needing extra drivers. Windows Update automatically installed the beta Nvidia Quadro 3700 driver as well.

When I installed it the NVIDIA drivers were horrendous and made my picture gray and dull, almost impossible to read.

Did you get any errors on running harware diagnostics?
Hold Fn key down and press power button.
Run all of them including Extended. I'd be interested to know what people find.

I like the keyboard. Very quiet, very smooth, lovely feel.

Thanks for the post and update. I have problems 1 and 3.

Please excuse me while I now rant!!!

Many small but unusual problems with my system. But as my 1st post stated screen is gorgeous.

To make a long story short I'm now on Dell's premiere support list with email coming from their head office.

Hardware diagnostics turned up two errors that resulted in the FX3700M and the RGB LED being replaced. BUT before this was done I said to them to please check the diagnostics because the screen is wonderful with no obvious screen or video card errors. I was assurred diagnostics was okay.

Today the tech came took the entire machine apart and replaced the video card and screen (had to disassemble the entire lid to replace only the screen). Tonight I rerun diagnostics and it fails again.

And now I see your post.

So after 18hrs of my time I have new hardware which must have an oily residue because the only difference is that it now smells of burnt oil and there is an additonal noise present which sounds like a HD but HD is not active.

Trying to decide what to do, including billing Dell $200/hr for my time.
