OK I've tried to go through the thread again with as fine a toothed comb as a I could, but I'm not seeing anything pertaining to battery benchmarks. Does anyone have any specs on battery life with an LED display?

i dont have any spec for this, but i get around 1.5 hours of working time out of it.....mainly working on large 3D models and renderings. i can usually leave it on all night without it plugged in and still have good battery left over in the morning...hope this helps at all.

Anyone suggest a Viewguard size that will fit the Covet correctly? I'm not sure the 17'' version will cover all of the screen.Viewguard= 14.49" x Height 9.06". How does this compares with the actual screen size of the Covet? I could only find the height and width of the whole machine

Thanks for the suggestions regarding Vista64. I will play with XP64 a bit. It looks like most people re-install the OS anyway.

We have built slots in the bezel specifically to fit privacy filters made by 3M specifically for the M6400. This way there is no need for plastic pieces to be glued around the outside of your bezel to hold the film in place.

Does that include the Covet? Also, are anti-glare filters available too, or are there just privacy filters?

    Thanks

I noticed this on my Covet as well. I don't understand why RAID would be set if the machine only shipped with one drive? Wouldn't AHCI be better if you have only one drive? You cannot simply change the drive type from RAID to AHCI though- or you will get mega errors.

AHCI is the normal SATA mode, right? (Versus the mode where the BIOS is emulating PATA?)

If so, then yeah, that's what I always put my stuff on. Seems to make the most sense to me at least :)
