Yeah I'm a WXGA+ guy! Perfect balance for me.

*Edit: no sound crackling problems either. Beethoven runs smooth!

uhuh....kinda regret not doing that but i don't have a prob with the resolution...just the screen quality. It does run beautifully next to my spanking new 27" 2709w screen Dell got me for 50% (from already discounted price) though :D

Hope my replacement gets here soon...got a notice it was in production yesterday

Seems like the new hardware is fine and stable. Did you check your BIOS and drivers versions, any change in there as well?

    on more thing....the OC'ing

you told me you kept it at the same ratio as default (500 / 800) and you added 120 to each. Could it make more sense to keep the same actual ratio....say, if it's 500 / 800 that would be 1.6 so if you make it 620 then the other would be 992...or is that not how it works?? Very much a noob in this area ;)
Had to turn mine a bit back though...too 600 / 900 'cause Far Cry 2 went 'till 92 degrees....too hot?

My replacement came with the latest BIOS pre-installed. I didn't have to download any updates.

I sort of wish Dell had a "software update" feature like HP does. (So I wouldn't have to keep checking their page for the latest device driver, etc.)

Would be very handy indeed...though not as an app that's always running, not another live-update process ;)

Maybe something for the Dell idea panel thing?

@kyusho: BIOS came A06, not sure how to check driver versions. I assume its fairly new since this laptop was put in production a week ago. Will see if A06 is okay with this new hardware, I dont want to downgrade tO A03 for gaming.

@LPTP-LVR: I know nothing about OCing, NOTHING. I skimmed over somewhere on a forum to keep same ratio, so I followed what I thought I read. So yes, until we know more about Quadro OCing, I assume same ratio is the play-it-safe method. 92C is very hot, my 770M never went past 83C on 650/950 (bad ratio lol). I wish we had shader overclocking sliders, those probably kick *** too.

edit: For some weird reason w/ LED @ full I am reading ~4 hours of battery. Either fake reading or too good to be true.

hmmm....maybe because i have a hotter running CPU? which did you have?

btw...A06 keeps your fan running on 100% after it starts up...everyone's waiting for an A07 for that reason...maybe also gone with newer hardware? That would be good too know
